Puff Pastry Apple Rings

Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. These puff pastry apple rings are so easily made and delicious!

Ingredients
Makes about 10 apple rings
Preparation time: 45 minutes

  • 2 apples

  • 1 roll puff pastry

  • 5 tbsp sugar

  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon

  • butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 °C.

  2. Place a knob of butter in an oven-safe dish and melt it.

  3. Peel 2 apples, and cut them into thin slices. Use a round sharp object to pierce a hole into the middle of each slice to turn them into rings.

  4. Combine 5 tbsp sugar and 1.5 tsp cinnamon in a shallow dish.

  5. Cut the puff pastry into 1 cm wide stripes, then halve those to shorten them. This will make wrapping them around the apple rings easier.

  6. Dip the apple rings into the cinnamon sugar, then wrap the puff pastry stripes around the apple rings so the apple is fully covered. You might need 2-3 stripes per apple ring.

  7. Brush the apple rings with butter, then dip them in the cinnamon sugar so they are fully covered.

  8. Place the apple rings on an oven tray and bake them for about 25-30 minutes or until golden.

Enjoy!
